Growing Excellence in School Governance Programme

Who is the programme suitable for?

The programme is suitable for groups and federations of schools, and groups of schools within MATs. It can be completed by individual schools.

It is expected that a combination of leaders and governors from each school, plus relevant leaders from a trust, will participate.

What is the programme structure?

• Delivered across three phases (usually school terms).
• 1 face to face support day provided in school per phase.*
• Up to 7 hours of interim remote support per phase, provided through video conferencing. This could include participation in Governing Body meetings.

*During the COVID pandemic  in school support days may be delivered through online meetings in negotiation with the individual schools and suitable risk assessment.
